I travel extensively in the United States and I am Executive Elite with National. When I travel internationally, sometimes the National experience is a little less than the US experience but at the Salzburg airport location it was just as hassle free and fast (minus no Emerald Aisle). My free earned rentals in the US don’t apply here so I used Capital One points for the rental. There was no attempted upsell and the guys checking me out were super friendly and efficient and they gave me an upgraded hybrid Toyota, which was awesome. I did book the lowest rate class, which said it was a manual but honestly all the cars in the National spaces were all 1-2 year old automatics. My car did have some significant previous damage so just to protect myself I did video walk around before and after which I recommend always including showing the mileage and fuel level. I used RentalCover.com for comprehensive insurance instead of National, which was cheaper. On return I accidentally parked at the wrong level and they were really nice about it and didn’t make me feel like an idiot. Thank you Eyoel Cherinet and team for a great vehicle in Austria. I had an amazing time in your gorgeous country. I will be back!

AWFULL EXPERIENCE !!! Fue la peor experiencia que he tenido con un alquiler de coche. Se nos pinchó una rueda y el servicio fue pesimo. No habia rueda de repuesto en el coche, la grua vino y no hablaba ingles, nos dejaron tiradas en la puerta del taller cuando estaba cerrado sin solucion. Llamamos al menos a 7 personas de National y Alamo y no daban solución, además a cada llamada teniamos que informar de nuevo del problema porque no se comunicaban entre ellos. por otro lado, ahora nos quieren cobrar 900€ por el cambio de una rueda, donde obviamente lo que buscan es cargarnos mucho mas del coste de ese cambio. Si teneis que seleccionar una compañia de coche de alquier, evitad a toda costa a National y las empresas del grupo.
